Methodology and Assumptions

This calculator strictly looks at direct financial loss. It does not account for the operational overhead of a risk management team fighting disputes, nor the cost of "false positives"—legitimate customers blocked by overzealous 3DS rules.

Common Mistakes

Merchants frequently track their "win rate" on chargeback disputes. A high win rate is a vanity metric; you are spending operational cycles to recover funds that shouldn't have been disputed in the first place. With irrevocable A2A push payments, the dispute rate drops to zero mechanically.
